Louis J. Vasger

Police Officer Vasger, assigned to the 35th District, was shot and killed during a routine check of a bar on the 4700 block of N. Broad Street, while on foot patrol, when he encountered a robbery in progress at 1:05am. Officer Vasger was 28 years-old, served with the Department for 7 years, and is survived by his wife and three sons.
