Daniel J. Faulkner

Police Officer Daniel Faulkner, assigned to the 6th District, had stopped a vehicle driving the wrong way down a one-way street at 13th and Locust Streets at 4:00am. The driver quickly became confrontational with Officer Faulkner, who then attempted to subdue the offender. While Officer Faulkner’s back was turned, he was shot multiple times and killed by the driver’s brother who came running from a parking lot across the street. Officer Faulkner was 25 years-old, served with the Department for 5 years, and is survived by a wife.
