Winfred Hunter

Police Officer Hunter, assigned to the 22nd District, along with his partner, attempted to intervene in a fight between two men in a bar while off-duty at 3:02 am, when Officer Hunter was shot and killed by one of the offenders. His partner was wounded and survived his injuries. Officer Hunter was 41 years-old and served with the Department for 19 years.
