Anthony Johnson

Detective Anthony Johnson, assigned to Southwest Detective Division, was serving as a part-time volunteer basketball coach at Overbrook High School when he suffered a fatal heart attack during a struggle with a combative student. While taking a team photo session, the student came in and tried to disrupt the session several times. When the male refused to leave, Detective Johnson struggled with the student, and managed to place handcuffs on the offender before collapsing. Detective Johnson was 46 years-old, and served with the Department for 22 years.
