Isabel Nazario

Police Officer Isabel Nazario, assigned to the Strike Force, while on routine patrol in the 16th District, was called to assist another officer in pursuit of a stolen car at 9:30 pm. The offender, an unlicensed 16-year old juvenile driving a Cadillac Escalade east on Wallace Street, broadsided her patrol vehicle at the intersection as she was traveling south on 39th Street, killing Officer Nazario, and severely wounding her partner, Officer Terry Tull. She was 40 years-old, served with the Philadelphia Police Department for 18 years, and is survived by her sister, also a Philadelphia Police Officer, her daughter and her fiance.
