Daniel R. Boyle

Police Officer Boyle, assigned to the 26th District, had stopped a stolen vehicle for investigation at 8th Street and Germantown Avenue on February 4, 1991, at approximately 2:43am. The driver then abruptly exited his vehicle, armed with a gun, and shot and killed Officer Boyle. He succumbed to his injuries several days later. He was 22 years-old, served with the Department for 1 year, and was survived by his mother, father, stepmother and two sisters.
