Albert A. Valentino

Police Officer Valentino, assigned to the 15th District, was responding to a radio call for a disturbance on the 7000 block of Frankford Avenue, along with other police officers. When police arrived on the scene and asked the suspect for identification, the offender began shooting a gun at police. In an exchange of gunfire on a city street, Officer Valentino was shot and killed accidentally by a fellow officer at 1:52pm. Officer Valentino was 37 years-old, served with the Department for 12 years, and is survived by his wife and three children.
