Charles P. O'Hanlon

Police Officer O’Hanlon, assigned to the Highway Patrol Unit, was fatally injured when a tractor-trailer carrying hazardous materials crashed into the rear of his unmarked patrol vehicle. He was stopped northbound on Interstate I-95, north of Bridge Street at 9:10am, after having stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. He was 40 years-old, served with the Department for 19 years, and is survived by a wife and four children.
