John F. Duffy

Police Officer John Duffy, assigned to the 39th District, was responding to a report of an “assist officer” at the Pep Boys Store, located at 32nd Street and Allegheny Avenue at 5:00pm, when his police van collided with another police vehicle traveling to the scene at 26th and Cambria Streets. Officer Duffy died as a result of the critical injuries from the accident. He was 22 years-old and served with the Department for 1 year.
