Stephen E. Sawka

Police Officer Sawka, assigned to the 26th District, suffered a fatal heart attack after responding to a fight on the highway at York and Sepviva Streets at 3:00am in which he and his partner received minor injuries. Officer Sakwa was able to drive himself to the hospital later in the day where he succumbed to his condition. Officer Sakwa was 27 years-old and served with the Department for 2 years.
