Michael J. Hunt

Sergeant Hunt, assigned to the Foot Traffic Division, suffered critical injuries when he was struck by a tractor trailer on June 6, 1948, while directing traffic during the Republican National Convention held in Philadelphia at the former Convention Hall, 34th and Curie Streets. He succumbed to his injuries several months later. He was 61 years-old and served with the Department for 33 years.
