James J. Ramp

Police Officer Ramp, assigned to the Stakeout Unit, was shot and killed during a standoff with the radical group MOVE in the 300 block of N. 33rd Street at 8:14am. He was able to push someone else out of the line of fire before he was killed. Officer Ramp was 52 years-old and served with the Department for 23 years.
