Ross Brackett

Police Officer Brackett, assigned to the 18th District, was responding to a robbery-in-progress at 52nd and Walton Streets at 8:40am. Upon arrival to the scene, Officer Brackett was confronted by the suspect, who was able to wrestle his service weapon from Officer Brackett's holster, firing the gun and killing him. He was 25 years-old and served with the Department for 1 year.
