James E. Griffin, Jr.

Police Officer Griffin, assigned to the 5th District, was shot inside the 5th District station while attempting to transport and handcuff a prisoner. The prisoner was able to gain control of the service weapon of the partner of Officer Griffin, and shot him twice. Officer Griffin was 30 years-old and served with the Department for 10 years.
